Dakshinamurty Stotram-1 (Audio Discourse)

Om Namah Pranavaardhaaya
Shuddha Jnaanaika Moortaye
Nirmalaya Prashaanthaaya
DakshinaaMoortaye Namaha

Satulations to the Supreme Lord Sri Dakshinamurty (Lord Siva) who is personification of the meaning of the sound 'OM',who is the embodiment of pure divine knowledge, who is devoid of impurities and who is always calm and serene.

Lord Dakshinamurty is one of the many forms of Lord Siva.

He is the supreme guru of all the worlds. He is the first guru and he is the guru of all the gurus - in all the worlds - seen and unseen. when God himself becomes the guru,he appears in the form of Lord Dakshinamurty.

He is capable of removing the darkness called ignorance from the world and can bestow on it the light of supreme divine knowledge. He is the supreme source of all knowledge that is being continuously bestowed on the world.

Adi Sankara wrote a Sanskrit hymn called 'Dakshinamurty Stotram' on the Lord. This is the first part of a discourse on the 10 stanzas of that hymn, given on 6-8-2015 in Telugu language at Guntur,India during a spiritual retreat.
