I don't exactly remember if Veera Brahmendra Swamy in his book kala jnanam (knowledge of Time) mentioned about the mice plagues that keep happening in Australia, because I had read the book in my childhood. Interested readers may look into it for possible hints by decoding the mystical language of the sage.
Millions of mice are attacking the rural areas of Australia now. People are blaming the Government for its inaction. The mice are entering the shops, homes and all places. At some places they are dropping from the roofs like raindrops. In every trap, there are found nearly 500 mice every morning.
Ever since Captain Arthur Philip set foot on the Australian soil in January 1788, there was a systematic effort in fighting back the resisting aboriginals of Australia who have been living there from the past 70 thousand years or so. Genetic research says that the original inhabitants of Australia had the genes of Indonesians and Indians apart from a few other countries. Their names seem to have their roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit languages of India. For example look at these names - bungaree (a rural Telugu name), darana (dharana, sanskrit), Maya (Sanskrit again), Anmanari, Brinda, Alkavari (all Sanskrit), Karri (a rural Telugu and Tamil name), Iluka (Sanskrit), Taraka (Sanskrit), Gurumarra (corrupt Sanskrit), Wyndradanu (Indra Dhanu, Sanskrit).
We from India can easily identify these names as corrupt forms of their Sanskrit root names. Some of them are exactly the same names that we find even today in the rural areas of different states of India, especially Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Let me revert to the subject under consideration.
We all know that Australia has been a European colony before gaining its independence. When Captain Arthur Philip arrived there in 1788, the local population was one million approximately. Today, their number is 0.7 million. The total population of Australia is 30 million. So, in these 233 years the white population increased from zero to 29.3 million where as the indigenous black population decreased from 1 million to 0.7 million.
According to history, the local population was wiped out in large numbers by three things viz., power of the gun, poisoning their food and spread of new epidemic diseases.
I think todays mice plague is the result of this bad karma. They killed the locals by poisoning their food, so now, the mice are destroying their crops and food supplies. Now Australia needs the rat poison Bromadiolon from India to kill the millions of rats creating mayhem over there.
We the moderns believe in science, but not in karma. However, the world is run by many unseen principles, one of them being the law of Karma. What you sow, so you reap is the law of Karma. The Bible also says 'Those who take to sword perish by the sword'. What goes around comes around - is what we usually say.
Is this not the effect of Karma? Setting philosophical thinking aside, let us revert back to our topic.
The following is the table where you can see the years of mice plagues in Australia and the positions of some of the planets that are harbingers of bad karma.
