Kerala style of Horary is unique and very different from other methods of prediction. It has been backed by hundreds of years of research. There are many mesmerizing and secret analytical methods at its core. Let us look into the details of one such method.
They are the fields of body, prana and death.
Astrologers from Kerala who follow these methods are
able to predict these fields with astonishing accuracy.
The formulas are:
Body factor = Moon x 8 + Gulika
Prana factor = Ascendant x 5 + Gulika
Death factor = Gulika x 7 + Sun
The origins of these formulae are beyond our understanding. They have
been deduced from centuries of experience, research and logic. We will not dig
into the details of their derivation to justify their existence.
The above factors together are called the ‘tri-sphuta’(tri-longitude). Above
calculation would land us on one of the houses in the astro-chart. The planets occupying
that particular house are noted and associated with the relation to the native.
If the planet corresponds to Sun, it indicates Father. If it is Moon indicates
mother, Mars indicates siblings, Mercury indicates paternal uncle, Jupiter
indicates Masters/Gurus, Venus indicates spouse and Saturn, the servants.
In the olden days, people who consulted Horary experts would not reveal
the actual reason for their visit. The expert is expected to identify the cause
and suggest an appropriate remedy as well. This was considered a litmus test
for the calibre of the expert. It goes without saying that this practise needs
ardent devotion and dedication (upasana). Mere mathematics is of little use in
this area.
Let us consider a case study. A query was asked as under:
Date: 5th April, 2022,
Place: Hyderabad - India.
Time: 11:08am
Ascendent: 69.46
Moon : 37.53
Sun: 351.16
Gulika: 85.45
Applying the formulae to the above cases,
Body factor: 303.04 +85.45 = 388.49 = 28.48 (388.49 – 360, because the
complete chart is only 360 degrees and goes round-about)
Prana factor: 348.53 + 85.45 = 424.38 = 64.38
Death factor: 600.25+351.16 = 951.41 = 231.41
Trisphuta = body factor + prana factor + death factor = 28.48 + 64.38 + 231.41 = 325.07 = 25.07 in Aquarius
The closest planet to this degree is Jupiter, who is located at 28 degrees in Aquarius. So, either the Guru or an equivalent of Guru – the head of the family, might be at risk. It proved to be true.
This method can be applied not only to Horary but to everyday personal life as well. Generally, we observe a strange pattern in few families. A few days after the birth of a child, someone in the family passes away.
If we cast a horoscope of the new-born, calculate the tri-factor – the
sign that it falls into and planet closest to the degree - we can predict who
is at risk in the family. A competent astrologer may even suggest suitable
remedies to avert the danger.
For example, consider a person with ascendant in Capricorn, lands with
tri-factor in Scorpio 8 degrees with no planet occupying the sign. The nearest
planet is Uranus in Leo at 9 degrees and ‘Gulika’ in Pisces at 8 degrees. It
was predicted that the native would not have any siblings. It turned out to be
true and the native remained a single-child to her parents with no siblings.
Since Leo was 8th house from the ascendant, it was also predicted
that misfortune would befall the family after the native’s birth. This also turned
out true with the formerly flourishing and well-to-do family, undergoing lot of
turmoil later and facing many hardships. Tri-factor method gives such amazing
predictions related to a horoscope.
Here are a few more mysteries related to the tri-factor calculation:
· If the tri-factor
degree has Rahu in it, the inquirer himself is at risk and needs to follow the
remedies himself.
· If the
degree has ‘gulika’ in it, the consultantastrologer is doomed. He needs to
perform the remedies on himself as a priority. It impliesthat the bad karma of
the querier is so strong that the person trying to help him is also affected.
· If the
degree has Ketu in it, the person accompanying the querier will be affected.
Though he is not concerned with any of the proceedings going on, accompanying
the ill-fated person would bring misfortune to him. This is the result of
having a bad company. The planets clearly indicate this as well.
Astrology is a treasure of such hidden gems.
All these calculations are based on ‘Gulika’. Such techniques are
abundant in Kerala style of horoscope analysis.
