New Zealand floods - Mercury, Venus and Moon

New Zealand has been reeling under rains and floods for the past four days. It all started on 29th and a state of emergency has been declared on Sunday the 30th May 2021. There are usual power cuts, evacuations, shortage of food supplies and disruption of transport and communication. They say that such kind of floods occur only once in a 100 years. Canterbury and South Island areas were the most badly affected.

I have gone through the past disasters of New Zealand, accidents on land, in air and natural calamities with an eye on the Astrological factors concerned. I think the Lagna of New Zealand is either Pisces or Virgo. Pisces seems to be ideologically indicated because of two reasons viz., one, it is a watery sign and two, it is a fish sign, both pointing at New Zealand very strongly. If you look at the map, the country looks like a lonely fish in vast waters. However, the only point which contra indicates the fish symbolism is the sign Pisces has two fish. Usually my research pointed out that Pisces indicates a group of islands like Japan or the countries in the East of India rather than a single unit like New Zealand. As Aries represents England, Pisces can be allotted very logically to New Zealand, its colony for hundreds of years.

However, the scale tilts more towards Virgo in many cases of earthquakes that happened and keep happening in New Zealand. Keeping further research at bay, let me take Pisces as the Lagna of the country, to analyze the floods that are hitting New Zealand now.

On 29th May, Mercury and Venus were in exact degree conjunction in Gemini, a windy sign. If we take the Lagna of New Zealand as Pisces, then this conjunction happened in the 4th house, the nadir, powerfully affecting it. Now Pieces being a water sign and Gemini being windy, this could trigger powerful rains and floods. Moon, another watery planet, is aspecting Mercury and Venus from Sagittarius. It is to be noted that a lunar eclipse happened on 26th May, just 3 days before. So, Mercury and Venus in 4th house and Moon in 10th house, generate a powerful argala of flooding on Pisces.

We all know that 4th house indicates homeland, houses, comforts and general well being. All these were powerfully hit from 29th onwards, the floods continuing even today, forcing all kinds of trouble and hardship for the people of New Zealand.

Or, if the Lagna is Virgo, then the combined aspect of Mercury and Venus falls on Moon in 4th house, generating the same effect. The argala effect as discussed above holds good here too.

In any case, Mercury and Venus occupy star Mrigasira or Orion which is a chandanadi. Incidentally, Moon occupies Purvashadha or Epsilon Sagittari which is also a chandanadi. The sanskrit term chanda signifies extremely speedy or angry. Venus and Moon are watery planets, Mercury joining them also becomes a watery planet and the stars are extremely speedy and angry. Combine all these elements and you will see the picture of a terrible cyclone.

In the Indian Astrological system of Varaha Mihira, Garga and the ancient sages, Mercury and Venus hold the key to rains and floods, apart from Sun and Moon. The celebrated astrologer B.V.Raman also emphasized this point in his books on weather prediction. He observed this phenomenon many times in his research and recorded it.

It is proved to be correct again.
